GIS/LIS Educational Survey
Share |

Summer 1995

How can I learn more about GIS and LIS? What college courses and programs are available? When, where, and for what kind of credit? The rapid adoption of GIS has led to a significant need for education and training in GIS and related fields. To better answer people's questions about how to learn about GIS, the MN GIS/LIS Consortium is undertaking a survey of educational opportunities in and near Minnesota.

The survey was mailed in early April to all institutions that offer courses for college credit. The survey asks both about the institution's program (degrees offered, number of courses, level of courses, etc.) and each individual course (textbook, software used, lab component, etc.). The survey will also collect information about when and where each course is offered, and who to contact for more information.

The Educational survey is available in two formats, the original Word Perfect 5.1 file and an ASCII text version.

The Word Perfect format must be saved to your computer's hard drive first. Right click on the link and then choose "save link as". Your browser will prompt you for a file name and location. Save the file and then open it in your word processor.
