|Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium Community News Blog|
The MN GIS/LIS Community News Blog provides educational articles that highlight interesting GIS projects in or impacting Minnesota. Its primary audience is GIS professionals in Minnesota and nearby areas, and it is published on our website as needed. To assist in search, articles are frequently "tagged" with topical keywords, including but not limited to: state government, regional government, local government, federal government, higher education, K-12 education, private sector, non-profits, and people.
The Consortium welcomes submission of articles highlighting GIS/LIS applications and activities of state, regional, or local significance. Articles are typically 2 to 5 paragraphs, preferably submitted in either Word format or via Google Docs, and include links to related websites and contacts for more information. Graphics are encouraged and should be submitted as separate files, preferably in JPEG format. For more complete guidance, see How to Write an Article for Mn GIS/LIS Community News.
To submit an article for consideration, send it to email@example.com.
The newsletter editorial group reviews articles as they are received. If substantial edits or revision are needed, articles will be returned to the authors for specified changes; the article will still be published if those changes are made promptly. The editorial group may do minor edits. The editorial group has the final decision whether to accept a submitted article. Any submission the Consortium deemed to be a solicitation will not be accepted; however, educational articles from the private sector will be considered if they spotlight a successful customer implementation in Minnesota.
