National Pipeline Viewer Adapted from NPMS website
The National Pipeline Mapping System Viewer (https://www.npms.phmsa.dot.gov/searchp/newlogin.asp?Search=Pub) allows the general public to view maps of interstate and intrastate gas and hazardous liquid transmission pipelines, liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants, and hazardous liquid breakout tanks that are under the jurisdiction of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).
The National Pipeline Mapping System (http://www.npms.phmsa.dot.gov/) is a GIS created by the U.S. Department of Transportation, PHMSA, Office of Pipeline Safety in cooperation with other federal and state governmental agencies and the pipeline industry. The NPMS consists of geospatial data, attribute data, public contact information, and metadata.
The application shows the GENERAL location of gas and hazardous liquid transmission pipelines under PHMSA jurisdiction. All pipelines in the U.S. are NOT represented here. This application should not be used to identify exact locations of pipelines or as a substitute for contacting the appropriate One Call system or pipeline operator prior to excavation activities.
No username or password is required for the NPMS Public Map Viewer. The public can view maps in one selected county at a time, to a maximum zoom level of 1:24,000-scale. Users are permitted to print maps of the data, but the data is not downloadable.
