The Newsletter for the Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium

The MN GIS/LIS Newsletter is published electronically in html format. Since 2004, it has been published four times a year. Articles are grouped into twelve sections: MN GIS/LIS consortium news, state government, Governor’s Council on Geographic Information, regional government, local government, federal government, higher education, K-12 education, private, non-profits, people, and other places. Navigation is facilitated by a left sidebar containing short titles of the articles. Individual articles, as well as the complete issue, can be downloaded in PDF format.

 If you have anything to announce to the greater GIS/LIS community in Minnesota, please consider contributing an article. As with previous Newsletters, we're looking for 2 to 5 paragraphs, (Word format preferred), related web sites, graphics, (JPEG preferred), and 'who to contact for more info'. Articles highlighting GIS/LIS applications and activities in or impacting Minnesota are invited. To submit an article, send it before the deadlines listed below via email to newsletter@mngislis.org, or address correspondence to: GIS/LIS News, 1000 Westgate Drive, Suite 252, St. Paul, MN 55114. 

Our editorial group will review articles received by the deadline. If any substantial edits or revision are needed, articles will be returned to the authors for specified changes; the article will still be published if those changes are made promptly. Minor edits will be done by the editing group. Opinions expressed are those of the authors and not necessarily the opinions of the Consortium.

GIS/LIS News will be posted late in the issue month, at which time notification will be sent to our members via the Consortium's E-Announcement list. It's easy to add your name to our E-Announcement list.
