HydroClim Minnesota

If you’re interested in Minnesota weather (some say that is part of the definition of a Minnesotan), you might want to subscribe to HydroClim Minnesota (http://climate.umn.edu/doc/journal/hydroclim.asp).  It’s a monthly electronic newsletter summarizing Minnesota climate conditions and the resulting impact on water resources.  In addition to the monthly summary, during special weather events, like this summer’s drought, weekly updates are often sent.  The newsletter has links to dozens of other state and national data sites, including the state’s Climatology Working Group at http://climate.umn.edu/. Remember, it has been said, “It’s not typical for Minnesota weather to be normal.”

To subscribe to HydroClim Minnesota, please email Greg Spoden at the State Climatology Office, DNR Waters - St. Paul: gspoden@umn.edu or greg.spoden@dnr.state.mn.us
