Introduction to the 2008 Scholarship Winners
By Banette Kritzky, Scholarship Chair

The Summer issue of the MnGIS/LIS Newsletter announced the winners of the 2008 Scholarship. Because not all of our members will attend the fall conference (Rochester, October 1 – 3, 2008), I would like to introduce the Consortium community to each of these winners by sharing their biography as well as their submitted abstract for their presentations at the fall conference Scholarship Winners’ Competition.

There are three competitions:

  • Community College students will participate in a poster competition on Thursday between 5:30 and 6:15 pm
  • Undergraduate students will compete on Thursday afternoon from 1:30 – 5:00
  • Graduate students will compete on Friday morning from 8:30 – 10:30

Exact presentation times will be included in the final Conference Program.

Below is each scholarship winner’s name, school affiliation, and title of their poster or presentation. A short biography and the complete abstract for each student’s poster or presentation is provided on the Consortium’s website here.
