2008 Polaris Winners
By Dan Ross, Minnesota Department of Transportation

The Polaris Leadership Award was established in 2003 to honor mid-career professionals who are guiding stars to the rest of us. Minnesota’s motto is L’Etoile du Nord, Star of the North. Polaris is a triple star, and so we honor three leaders each year. More details on the award and this year’s winners can be found at http://www.mngislis.org/polaris.htm

This year’s winners are:

  • Mark Kotz brings the right mix of humor, knowledge, and creativity to solving GIS issues in Minnesota.
  • Banette Kritzky has continuously and tirelessly contributed toward the betterment of the GIS community through service, coordination and education.
  • Mark Sloan is a GIS leader for local government in Greater Minnesota.
