2008 Polaris Winners
By Dan Ross, Minnesota Department of Transportation
The Polaris Leadership Award was established in 2003 to honor mid-career professionals who are guiding stars to the rest of us. Minnesota’s motto is L’Etoile du Nord, Star of the North. Polaris is a triple star, and so we honor three leaders each year. More details on the award and this year’s winners can be found at http://www.mngislis.org/polaris.htm
This year’s winners are:
Mark Kotz brings the right mix of humor, knowledge, and creativity to solving GIS issues in Minnesota.
Banette Kritzky has continuously and tirelessly contributed toward the betterment of the GIS community through service, coordination and education.
Mark Sloan is a GIS leader for local government in Greater Minnesota.
