Will Craig was elected chair of NSGIC for the 2009-10 term at the organization’s Annual Conference in Keystone, Colorado. Craig has represented the Minnesota Governor’s Council on Geographic Information and been a member of the NSGIC Board for the past three years.
NSGIC is the National States Geographic Information Council. It was founded in 1991 with much support from Al Robinette, then director of the Minnesota Land Management Information Center. NSGIC is a member support and advocacy organization for the 50 state GIS councils and agencies. It has been a prime mover of Imagery for the Nation (IFTN), a proposed systematic orthoimagery program based on regularized federal flight programs.
NSGIC will hold its annual conference in Minneapolis in Fall 2010.
