Randy Johnson, Hennepin County Commissioner, a "GIS Hero"

Hennepin County Commissioner Randy Johnson was identified as a GIS Hero in the Spring 2008 issue of ESRI News.

Randy, the longest serving commissioner in Hennepin County history, has long been a supporter of GIS in the county. Outside the county he founded the GIS subcommittee at NACo – the National Association of Counties. He is a current member of the National Geospatial Advisory Committee, a non-federal group that provides advice to the Federal Geographic Data Committee
