“Google” Government 2.0?

Most state and local governments are sinkholes for data. They collect it and use it, but it never sees the light of day. Nationally syndicated columnist Neal Peirce has written a column on places like Washington DC, that are breaking the mold and putting nearly all their data on the web for use and analysis by anyone. The idea is getting a pretty good response.

His column is available online at http://citiwire.net/post/34/.
