GeoMentor Program Launches
Adapted from National Geographic announcement

Would your students benefit from meeting people in your community who use geography in their professions? The new GeoMentor Program, sponsored by National Geographic and ESRI, helps classroom and after-school educators connect learning to students’ futures as citizens and workers. Because so many jobs rely on geographic understanding and analysis as part of decision-making, GeoMentors can come from a variety of professions, including government, parks management, police and fire departments, business, energy, agriculture, health, and environmental management.

For more information, see ESRI’s GeoMentor Program webpage.
