These workshops along with five others covering ArcGIS 10, Cartographic Design, Creating Maps with the U.S. National Grid, Model Builder and Mobile Applications brought 90 GIS users from across Minnesota and surrounding states to the 2012 MN GIS/LIS Consortium workshops.

The workshops were held Thursday, May 24 on the beautiful University of St. Thomas campus in St. Paul. The St. Thomas Geography Department graciously opened their doors to the Consortium allowing high quality workshops to be offered at a low cost:  $75 for a half-day workshop and $150 for a full-day workshop. Participants registered for 122 workshop seats.

Thank you to the University of St. Thomas for hosting the event, the instructors for their time and talents, and the moderators and other volunteers for their time. Several instructors donated their honorariums to the Consortium’s scholarship fund, contributing a total of $1,500.
