2017 University of Minnesota Spatial Forum

Featuring the Borchert Lecture and celebrating GIS Day
Wednesday, November 15th, 2017

Mark your calendars for this year's University of Minnesota Spatial Forum, held in conjunction with the annual Borchert Lecture and GIS Day. We invite you to join us in the Keller Hall 3-180 on the East Bank of campus from 2:00 - 5:00 pm on November 15th for an afternoon of special events and presentations.

The UMN Spatial Forum is a yearly event highlighting spatial research, teaching, and outreach. This event is free & open to the public and features lighting talks, conversation, and a keynote presentation.

Rolf Weberg, Director of the Natural Resources Research Institute, will give the 11th annual Borchert Lecture. The Borchert Lecture honors the late John Borchert, UMN Regents Professor in Geography and member of the U.S. National Academy of Science.

 2:00 - 3:30pm  Lightning Talks
3:30 - 4:00pm  Reception - Hors d'oeuvres and GIS Day cake served
4:00 - 5:00pm  Borchert Lecture
5:00 - 7:00pm  Networking event at the Campus Club
University of Minnesota Campus Club (Coffman Memorial Union)

Celebrate GIS Day with your colleagues at the MN GIS/LIS networking event. The event will be held at the Campus Clubwhich offers great views of the Mississippi River and campus, as well as a full local beer list. Light appetizers will be provided. The East River Road Garage offers convenient parking.
