In the spring of this year, the U.S. Census Bureau will begin inviting designated participants (tribal, regional, and local governments) to participate in the Census 2010 Participant Statistical Areas Program (PSAP) or the Census 2010 Tribal Statistical Areas Program (TSAP). Participants in these programs will work with other interested groups or organizations to review the Census 2000 Statistical Areas including Census Tracts, Block Groups, and Census Designated Places, and propose changes to these areas for the 2010 Census.

PSAP/TSAP Program Schedule:

Spring/Summer 2008 Identify and train participants
Fall 2008 Program materials mail out
Winter 2008-2009 Participants complete work
Spring 2009 Census regional census center staff review submissions and the participant verification process begins.
