Nominations for the MN GIS/LIS Board of Directors

The Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium holds an annual election of new Board of Directors for the following calendar year. The Board of Directors shall consist of fifteen (15) individuals. Most Board positions are 2-year commitments, with the terms of the positions staggered to aid continuity between boards. The Chair-Elect and Conference Chair-Elect positions are part of a 3-year term serving one year in each of the following positions: Chair-Elect, Chair, and Past Chair. We are now accepting nominations for Consortium Chair-Elect, Treasurer, Conference Chair-Elect, State Government, and Private Sector positions. Job descriptions for each position are posted here.

Nominees must be knowledgeable and involved in the GIS/LIS field and be willing to attend Board meetings: generally monthly, usually mid-day, and mostly in the Twin Cities area. However the Board may choose to visit out-state locations for some meetings. Limited mileage reimbursement to attend Board meetings is available from the Consortium for Board members who cannot get reimbursement from other sources.
