The Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium is excited to announce Educator Day V. This year it will be held at the St. Cloud Convention Center on Wednesday, October 2 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Educator Day IV, held in Duluth last October 2018, had seventy-eight K-12 teachers AND eight students attend! The day will include many hands-on GIS activities, sessions, a how-to afternoon session and a lunch keynoted by Sauk Rapids-Rice high school teachers Brianne Wegter and Melissa Gebhardt. They will highlight and showcase how GIS is being utilized at Sauk Rapids-Rice school district.  

Highlights:

  • FREE all-day conference to include lunch, snacks and drinks;
  • Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced ArcGIS Online hands-on instruction
  • Learn how to use the following in your classroom; Story Maps, Survey123 for Geo-Forms and data collection, Geo-Inquiries, Web Apps and more advanced analysis features.
  • Actual teachers using GIS will be instructing many of the sessions. A chance to see how others are putting GIS into action in their classrooms
  • Where to find GIS data and curriculum for your classroom
  • Much more….
Highlights

Teachers will receive a certificate for up to seven hours of CEU credit for attending. If you require assistance for substitute reimbursement please let us know below. We don’t want funding to be a barrier for YOU to attend. We can pay up to $125 as a substitute reimbursement.
